We’ve been prioritizing reaching and training Oregon’s youth for a long time. Our pro-life youth leadership retreat Launch has a proven track record of inspiring and activating young adults. It is exciting and rewarding to watch them change the movement for the better.

Bethany Janzen (right in photo) is one of those people. She attended Launch and then interned with us. After graduating, she began working for Students for Life of America. Now she is the director of international development for Pro-Life Europe and the director of strategy at Youth for Life Austria.

Joelle Lucas (left in photo) is another Launch graduate and former intern who is shaking things up abroad. She is pursuing graduate studies and running a pro-life club at Durham University in England. This photo is from a tabling event they held together for Joelle’s club.

Another Launch graduate, Savanna, shared: “Launch tackled all of the big questions. Nothing was taboo. [I was] reminded to engage in the pro-life conversation simply in daily conversations instead of only ‘doing’ pro-life stuff.” She later interned with our communications team and gave pro-life presentations on her college campus.

The dates for Launch 2020 will be March 22-25 in Salem. The cost is $200—all-inclusive. Applications are available now. We will be reviewing them promptly once receiving a completed application.

If you are a student between 16-21, this is an amazing experience you won’t regret. If you aren’t, please let all the students in your life know about this great opportunity. For more details and to apply, go to ORTL.org/launch.
