LIZ CARR, the English actress, comedian, broadcaster and international disability rights activist– known for portraying the role of Clarissa Mullery in the BBC crime drama Silent Witness–challenges the UK’s support of physician-assisted suicide and the underlying attitudes affecting the disabled. Unafraid to voice the prejudices that surround the disabled, Carr, with her off-beat humor and pointed commentary, takes us into disturbing conversations– reminding us that not every difficult life is one that should be ended. Included is Carr’s chillng interview with Canadian MAID doctor, Dr Ellen Wiebe, who has assisted in more than 400 deaths.
