Jan Gorder, Therese Ruesink and Marie Barzen participated in the 40 Days for Life Campaign this spring in front of the Lovejoy SurgiCenter, a Portland abortion clinic.
This spring’s 40 Days for Life Campaign, from March 6 through April 14, resulted in the lives of 748 unborn babies being saved from abortion. 40 Days for Life is the largest internationally coordinated pro-life mobilization in history, helping people in local communities end abortion through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigils outside abortion facilities.
The first 40 Days for Life campaign was in 2007. Since that first campaign, 100,000 people have participated and 16,004 lives have been saved in 6,428 campaigns, in 855 cities and 61 nations. A total of 190 abortion workers have quit their jobs and the 100th abortion facility just closed its doors.
