OF THE 73 CANDIDATES ENDORSED OR RECOMMENDED BY ORTL PAC, 35 PRO-LIFE CANDIDATES ARE ASSUMED TO WIN THEIR RACES
Oregon Right to Life PAC (ORTL PAC) endorsed more candidates than ever before, with 73 individuals committed to advocating for life on their local school boards.
Over the past few years, school-based health centers have become more prevalent and are able to refer minors for abortion, drive them to an abortion provider and potentially even prescribe the abortion pill – all without parental knowledge. This push for abortion for children has made our efforts in school board races vital.
As of press time, ballots are still being counted. But of the 73 candidates endorsed or recommended by ORTL PAC, 35 pro-life candidates are assumed to win their races.
Salem-Keizer School District – the second largest in the state and a focus for ORTL PAC this election cycle – will likely see two pro-life wins. Psychologist and current board member Dr. Satya Chandragiri will hold his position while gaining Krissy Hudson to advocate alongside him.
Hudson is a mother and Keizer resident. Her voice was sidelined when advocating for the safety of her daughter in the district. When asked why she chose to campaign for school board, Hudson emphasized that after what her family had experienced, she couldn’t help but run.
Other notable wins include a full pro-life slate in both Grants Pass and Crook County, two of three seats in North Bend, strong wins for Siuslaw School District and pro-life seats for Greater Albany Public Schools, Woodburn and Gresham-Barlow school districts, among others.
