(Oregon Right to Life) — Contrary to the claims of pro-abortion politicians and lobbyists, abortion doesn’t offer real hope or solutions for moms.
That’s why pro-life advocates who want to spread the hope, peace, and joy that comes from choosing life are raising their voices in song this Christmas season in a nationwide “Peace in the Womb” campaign.
The campaign is organized by the Pro-Life Action League, a pro-life advocacy organization founded in 1980 dedicated to “saving unborn children through non-violent direct action.”
“One of the Pro-Life Action League’s favorite events of the year is our ‘Peace in the Womb’ Christmas caroling day,” the Pro-Life Action League says on its website. “The idea is simple: we bring the hope and joy of Christmas to one of the world’s darkest places—the abortion clinic—in hopes that the familiar sounds of Christmas carols will save a life.”
“And, in fact, lives have been saved by our peaceful, prayerful witness when women heard our songs from inside the abortion facility and chose life for their children,” the League added.
Pro-life advocates who want to celebrate Christmas and spread pro-life joy and truth can join an existing caroling event in their area, or fill out the Pro-Life Action League’s application to start their own event.

Here in Oregon, pro-life groups have taken Pro-Life Action League up on the offer to organize their “Peace in the Womb” caroling events. The Oregon Knights of Columbus hosted a caroling event on Saturday, December 14th, outside Planned Parenthood in Eugene.
Eric Walter, State Life Program Director for Oregon Knights of Columbus, says “some mothers have even walked out on abortion appointments because they heard pro-lifers caroling outside.”
He added that the outreach isn’t only for the moms but also “for the precious children who will never see their first Christmas. The beautiful Christmas carols are always centered on Baby Jesus Who is our Hope and Life.”
“We ask our Dear Lord Jesus to please also lift our voices to these children so they know they will always be loved and will never be forgotten,” Walter said.
For those in the Portland area, Precious Children of Portland will host a Christmas caroling event outside Lilith Clinic in downtown Portland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21st.
Pro-life advocates who have any questions about the Portland event are invited to contact Therese Ruesink with Precious Children of Portland.
Those interested in hosting their own caroling event may learn more and apply to do so on the Pro-Life Action League website: prolifeaction.org/action/caroling/.
