What Abortion Really Is: Eyewitnesses Explain

(Oregon Right to Life) — For many, abortion is simply a part of “women’s healthcare.” Some might say it’s unfortunate or even regrettable, but people who identify as “pro-choice” will generally argue that abortion is just the “termination of a pregnancy.”

The decision to abort, they say, is merely up to the woman.

Those “pro-choice” perspectives often change, however, when people are faced with the facts about abortion.

  • The fact, for instance, that abortion providers must reassemble the body parts of tiny human beings who have been ripped apart to make sure the abortion was a success.
  • The fact that babies born alive after failed abortion attempts have been left to die alone in hospital rooms.
  • The fact that prenatal diagnoses (which may or may not even be accurate) often lead families to say “yes” to violent procedures to end the lives of their precious unborn babies, typically out of a misguided desire to alleviate suffering combined with a tragic misunderstanding of the brutality of abortion.

Two women with intimate knowledge of abortion – one who had three abortions, and later assisted with roughly fifty other procedures as a Planned Parenthood employee; and a nurse who became a whistleblower after discovering a Down syndrome newborn left to die by hospital staffers – shared the raw truth about abortion in a sit-down interview with Live Action founder and president Lila Rose.
