Oregon Right to Life Education Foundation booths were seemingly everywhere this summer! Our team hosted booths at 20 county fairs, including the Oregon State Fair, as well as other local events like Fiesta Mexicana in Woodburn. More than 1.25 million people attended fairs with an Oregon Right to Life Education Foundation (ORTLEF) fair booth in 2024.
Each summer, we give away thousands of 12-week fetal models called “pocket babies.” These petite pro-life ambassadors come with a card with fetal development information for those first 12 weeks in both English and Spanish. This summer, booth volunteers gave away a record number of pocket babies, sending just over 16,000 out into the community.
A huge thank you to the volunteers who cut, pressed and sewed the fabric pockets for the fetal models! Due to the increased demand this summer, our pocket baby stock ran low. Our volunteers stepped up, and thanks to them, we had enough pocket babies to distribute at the Oregon State Fair.
Statistics from the Oregon State Fair:
- 45 pounds of candy distributed
- 4,395 pocket babies given away
- 3389 poll votes
- 328 petition signatures
- Estimated 22,000 people reached with the truth about abortion and human development
Thank you to everyone who makes this outreach possible! From fair coordinators to booth volunteers to those sewing pockets for the fetal models, we could not do this vital work without you.
