ORTL PAC’s Grassroots Efforts Produce Results in Elections

"THE EFFORTS FROM OREGON RIGHT TO LIFE PAC HAVE PROVEN TO INCREASE VOTER TURNOUT BY 10% IN RECENT ELECTION"

Written by Trevor Lane

Maybe the most important part of winning elections is getting people to vote.

You’d think that accomplishment would be simple in Oregon. Every registered voter is automatically mailed a ballot, and drop-boxes are everywhere. Yet only about 67% of registered voters voted last November.

Unless they heard from Oregon Right to Life PAC (ORTL PAC).

When we contacted pro-life voters, they were substantially more likely to vote than registered voters in general. And our grassroots team has reached over 140,000 voters!

In 2022, we launched a grassroots program to increase voter contact in local areas. Since then, we have knocked on over 40,000 doors and made more than 108,000 phone calls. These efforts have proven to increase voter turnout by 10% in elections. Grassroots efforts have been instrumental in achieving pro-life victories throughout the state.

Earlier this year, ORTL PAC announced significant wins in Oregon’s school board elections. Some of those victories may not have been possible without the consistent on-the-ground presence of grassroots advocates who went door-to-door encouraging people to vote for pro-life candidates.

Even now, the ORTL PAC team is actively working to secure a crucial State House District through grassroots efforts. In the 2023 state legislative session, Rep. Charlie Conrad (R-Lane County) voted for the extreme pro-abortion House Bill 2002. Since this summer, ORTL PAC has contacted pro-life voters in his district, HD 12 and is actively raising support for a pro-life candidate.

Grassroots advocacy has proven to increase turnout, and the Oregon Right to Life team is efficient and effective in motivating pro-life voters to make their voices heard via voting. ORTL PAC is already working to achieve victory in key districts for the 2024 elections, which are less than a year away.
