Salem, OR—As the 2022 primary election approaches, Oregon Right to Life PAC is pleased to endorse Congressman Cliff Bentz for re-election. Rep. Bentz has been a dedicated pro-life advocate and a reliable vote receiving a 100% scorecard from the National Right to Life Committee and an A+ rating from the Susan B. Anthony List.
“In his candidacy, Congressman Bentz committed to his constituents that he would be a strong advocate for the unborn. We had no doubts he would deliver,” said ORTL Executive Director Lois Anderson.
Oregon remains one of the few states without any restrictions on abortion despite 78% of Oregonians opposing late-term abortion. Congressman Bentz has been consistent in his position on life and stands as the only pro-life representative for Oregon at the federal level. Anderson affirmed, “Bentz has an impeccable pro-life voting record, including outspoken support of the Hyde amendment and other protections that keep federal tax dollars from paying for abortions. The voters in Oregon’s 2nd congressional district should send him back to Congress confident that he will continue his leadership in the right to life of the most vulnerable Oregonians—the unborn.”
