Salem, OR—This primary election, Oregon’s pro-life voting bloc again made itself heard. ORTL PAC endorsed or recommended 100 pro-life candidates. A vast majority of those candidates won their primary campaigns or qualified for run-offs in the fall.
“I’m so humbled by all the pro-life Oregonians who prioritized voting in this time of upheaval and stress for so many people,” says Lois Anderson, ORTL executive director. “I’m also proud of all the pro-life candidates who stayed the course despite all the setbacks.”
Notably, Cliff Bentz swept to victory over pro-choice Knute Buehler in the Second Congressional District.
“On March 5, we drove to Bend and announced we were going to defeat Knute Buehler,” continued Anderson. “We spent nearly $250,000 ensuring he would lose. We’re happy with the results! Cliff Bentz will be a wonderful advocate for the vulnerable. We look forward to supporting him in the general election.”
