Essay/Drawing Contests
Theme: Life Is Precious At All Ages & All Abilities
Drawing Contest – grades K through 12
Computer Generated Drawing Contest – grades 9 through 12
Essay Contest – grades 5 through 12
State Contest winners receive cash prizes and have their entries displayed at the ORTL Conference on April 7, 2018 in Portland, Oregon.
Oratory Contest
High school juniors and seniors. Must be a high school junior or senior as of February 2018.
Oratory contest speeches have required topics, but no required theme. To participate, contestants must first enter a local competition. Go to www.ortl.org for information and rules.
The first place winner of the oratory contest will receive $600 and an expense paid trip to compete in the national contest on June 30, 2018 in Overland Park, Kansas.
Short Film Contest
There is no theme for the Short Film Contest.
Youth – ages 10 to 13
Junior – ages 14 to 17
Adult – ages 18 and over
All films should be 3 minutes or less. Submissions must be in DVD format only and should include length of film, name of producer (individual, family, organization, etc.) and contact information (address, phone number and email address). 
Contest deadline is March 13, 2018.
