Nightingale Alliance – The NA was established to promote compassionate medical, emotional and social care at the end of life, allowing each individual to be treated with respect until natural death occurs, and to oppose the life-ending acts of physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia. Not Dead Yet – An organization of disability advocates. Not Dead Yet states, “Though often described as compassionate, legalized medical killing is really about a deadly double standard for people with severe disabilities, including both conditions that are labeled terminal and those that are not.” International Task Force on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide – ITF addresses the issues of euthanasia, assisted suicide, advanced directives, assisted suicide proposals, “right-to-die” cases, euthanasia practice in the Netherlands, disability right, pain control and much, much more.
