Mission Statement

The ORTL Education Foundation, in an effort to promote and defend the value and dignity of human life at all stages from conception to natural death, is committed to informing the public about abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, and infanticide in order to end the destruction of human life and offer more positive, life-preserving options. This is done through our extensive educational programs.

PROGRAMS & SERVICES:

Speakers Bureau: Our presentations range from highly technical seminars given by doctors in college classrooms, to personal testimonies given at women’s retreats, to discussions about basic life issues at the high school and junior high level. Talks are available on various topics and can be adapted for different ages and audiences. (Brochure available.) Some workshops available in Spanish.

Oratory Contest: A speech competition at the local and state levels for students in grades 11-12; prizes awarded. First place winner goes on to compete at the national level. (For more information, click here)

Essay and Drawing Contests: Students in grades K-12 compete at local and state levels with entries that incorporate the annual theme. Prizes awarded. (For more information, click here)

Fair/Special Event Booths: (25+ per year) Educational exhibits which provide free information, fetal development displays and a chance for the general public to be exposed to the pro-life message.

Church Outreach: Our Church Coordinators meet with your Pastor and Church Liaison to identify the most effective means of reaching out to your worship community. Options include: post-abortion support, pro-life displays, educational materials, and/or guest speakers.

Cable Access TV Programming: Includes The Woman to Woman Show, which airs weekly, as well as programs from our Life Support series.
(The Woman to Woman Show can be seen every Tuesday on Channel 21 @ 4 pm, every Friday on Channel 11 @ 2:30 pm, and every Sunday on Channel 21 @ 5 pm). This is in Portland.

Pregnancy & Newborn Resource Directory: A guide intended for women in unplanned pregnancies which contains information about support services available throughout the state. This is also a helpful resource for new families.

Brochures & Pamphlets: Up-to-date literature for student reports and speeches. (Information in Spanish also available.)

Visual Aides: Fetal model sets, posters and game boards designed for classroompresentations or exhibits. Great for hands-on learning.

Fetal Model Sets: A wonderful educational tool which includes five full scale baby models from the age of four to twenty weeks of development in the womb. Sponsorships are available for pregnancy resource centers, schools, and health centers.

Computer Software: Truth Unmasked is an interactive CD-ROM designed to reach teen audiences with the facts about abortion. Includes information, music, pictures and video clips. Free copy available to churches.
